About us

Foundry & Gauge is operated by Tom Gardiner, a sole trader trading as Foundry & Gauge. Business correspondence: 77 The Manor, Malmesbury, SN16 9JN, United Kingdom. Email: foundryandgauge@gmail.com.

Products and materials

We produce personalised brass and stainless steel plaques. We take reasonable care to describe our products accurately. Metal grain, shade, surface character and engraving appearance can vary. Brass naturally develops patina. These variations do not remove your rights to goods of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Follow the material-specific care guidance.

Personalisation

Please check all wording, names, dates and other details before ordering. Standard personalised orders may be produced directly from the details supplied without a separate proof. Where a proof is supplied, check it carefully before approval. Email promptly to request a change; changes may not be possible once production starts. If we make an error, your statutory rights apply.

Installation

Plaques are supplied undrilled and without mounting hardware. No drilling service is offered. Please review the Mounting Your Plaque guidance and choose a suitable fixing method for your surface and setting.

Prices, payment and delivery

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. The total payable, including delivery and any applicable taxes, is shown before you pay. Payment methods available are displayed at checkout. UK tracked delivery is £4.95 per order, not per plaque. We deliver within the United Kingdom only. Most orders are dispatched within 5 working days; delivery takes additional time after dispatch. See our Shipping policy.

Orders and bespoke work

We may contact you to clarify your requirements before production. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will explain and refund the amount paid for the unfulfilled order, without limiting your statutory rights. We will not silently substitute a different specification. Bespoke enquiries are subject to feasibility, and price, specification and lead time must be agreed before production.

Customer artwork

By supplying artwork or logos for reproduction, you confirm that you have permission to use them for that purpose.

Cancellations, returns and problems

Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised normally do not carry the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right. This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or incorrectly produced by us. Contact us promptly if you wish to change or cancel before production; we will help where possible.

For a problem with an order, email us with your order number. We will arrange the appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights. If a return is needed, we will supply the return address and instructions by email. Our business correspondence address is not the designated returns address. Please see our Return and refund policy for full details.

Your rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory consumer rights. For questions or complaints, contact foundryandgauge@gmail.com.
